Our Verification of Employement (VOE) services have earned an unmatched reputation in the mortgage industry, distinguised by the expertise of our seasoned team and our advanced proprietary automation software - one with no peer in the industry.
Why am I receiving a VOE or VOI request?
An employee (current or former) of your company has applied with one of our lender clients for a mortgage or loan. Our client now requires verification of the borrower's employment and/or income history for underwriting, post-closing audits, and other business needs.
To ensure each verification is handled swiftly and accurately, we reach out to you via phone, fax, and email and appreciate your help in making that possible.
Why am I receiving a request for an individual I have already verified or who has already closed on their loan?
Mortgage lenders generally need to reverify employment and income for underwriting and regulatory reasons.
Most often, lenders just need to confirm that the borrower is STILL employed and that nothing has changed in their employment or income status before the loan can be closed and funded. On occassion, delays in closing, refinancing, and post-close audits will also result in a reverification.
We understand that you are busy and these verifications can be time consuming. We thank you for your patience and cooperation!
Why am I receiving a request for an employee that no longer works for my company?
For loan regulatory reasons, most mortgage lenders require up to 2 to 3 years of full employment history - sometimes more.
Why am I being contacted directly when I use a third-party employment verification company (such as The Work Number or Thomas and Company)?
Occassionally, the information your third-party VOE vendor provides comes to us incomplete or unavailable for a variety of reasons. In such cases, we reach out to you directly to confirm any information the vendor has left out OR to ensure there is not a hold on the employee's records.
How should I respond to a VOE or VOI request?
You can call, email, or fax us! Our team of experienced verifiers will ensure you are directed to the right place and your information is handled properly.
